On May 10, 2023, the 2022-2023 China University Volleyball Association (sports major group) Men's Finals, hosted by the Federation of University Sports of China, officially began at Nantong Sports School in Jiangsu Province
24 varsitys including Fudan University, Sun Yat sen University, Beihang University, Nanchang University, South China University of Technology, and China University of Petroleum (East China) participated in the group stage.
We achieved four wins and one loss in the group stage and advanced to the last 16 In Knockout stage the first round of the eighth-finals we defeated the team of Shandong University of Finance and Economics ，and advanced to the quarter-final with score 3-0
In the quarter-final，we faced team of China University of Petroleum (East China) again，which was a famous opponents in CUAA.
We carefully analyzed and judged the opponents, fought tenaciously on the field ultimately defeated China University of Petroleum (East China) with score 3-0,and advanced to the semifinals.
In the semifinals, we faced the team of Nanchang University which was the champion of the Southern District, and we fought fiercely for 5 sets. In the deciding set we lost to Nanchang University with score 15-9 and missed the finals.
In the Second runner-up finals, we faced the team of Sun Yat-sen University. Due to the injury,we got the fourth and won the Sports Ethics Award.
After the end of the Sports Major group association, we participated in the 2022-2023 China University Volleyball Association (non-sports major Group) which held in the city of Xiamen on May 18.
We has been engaged with opponents such as Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Central China Normal University and other opponents in group stage.
Despite the discomfort of several athletes，we remained united and fought hard，and advanced to last 16 in knockout stage.
In knockout stage round of 16, we defeated Harbin Institute of Technology with score 3-0,and advanced to the quarter-final.
In the quarter-final, we finished in seventh place with one loss and one win, creating the best historical achievement. Facing high-intensity, fast-paced, and error free opponents, we demonstrated excellent teamwork, technical skills, and psychological resilience.
We had a five game battle with Central China Normal University,and achieved the highest single game score of 34:32 with Guilin University of Electronic Science and Technology, and won the Sports Ethics Award.
Volleyball is a highly competitive team sport that requires players to possess excellent skills, high-intensity physical fitness, and a spirit of collaboration.
An excellent volleyball team not only requires outstanding performance from each member, but also requires tacit cooperation and mutual support among team members.
The sports major men's volleyball teams and non-sports major men's volleyball teams in Northwestern Polytechnical University get along well with each other, cooperate closely, encourage each other in training and competition, and help each other in study and life, which better condense the strength of the team, so that the whole team can do heart to heart and move forward together.
On the same road of competitive sports, only by supporting each other can we overcome all difficulties and go further together.
