At the just-concluded 23rd National University Students' Athletics Championships, our university ultimately secured 2 national championships, 1 third place, 1 fourth place, 1 sixth place, 2 seventh places, and 1 eighth place. Zhang Miaomiao from our university's elite athletics team delivered an especially outstanding performance, winning two gold medals in the Women's Group C (Elite Group) triple jump and long jump events. Notably, Zhang Miaomiao has already claimed three championships and one runner-up title in national competitions this year! Measuring the distance of her dreams with her feet, she finally conquered the audience with textbook-perfect moves and an overwhelming advantage. This moment is not only the glory of the podium but also the ultimate echo of years of sweat and perseverance.”
A total of over 3,600 athletes and coaches from 490 universities nationwide registered for this event, with both the number of participating institutions and the scale of athletes reaching an all-time high. The competition included four groups: Group A (Sunshine Group), Group B (Vocational College Group), Group C (Elite Group), and Group D (Super Group). Athletes participated in 27 major events and 161 minor events over 6 days and 12 sessions. Our university sent 14 athletes to compete, who forged ahead on the field, demonstrating the quality of fearlessness in the face of difficulties and tenacious perseverance, and achieved excellent results.
